Ex Machina Engineering is a mechanical and mechatronic design consultancy founded by Konstantinos Froudarakis. A M.Eng. Mechanical Engineer with a background spanning Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, CNC machine shop management, solar tracker manufacturing, and wastewater treatment infrastructure.
The through-line across all of it: a preference for work that produces something tangible. There is a particular satisfaction in translating a design into G-code and watching a machine extract the intended form from raw material — the same logic that drives a sculptor, applied to industrial engineering. That preference eventually made a consultancy the obvious next step.
Ex Machina Engineering works with clients in industry and manufacturing across the full design-to-production lifecycle. The service offering covers mechanical and mechatronic design, power transmission engineering, custom production machinery, PCB and embedded electronics, reverse engineering and part reproduction, and custom engineering software and parametric tools.
On the production side: final G-code creation, CNC setup sheets, machine setup documentation, and operator training. Beyond production: QA documentation tied to databases, procurement documents including RFQs and order forms, and warehouse management systems.
The work is hands-on, technically precise, and delivered to manufacturing-ready standard. Every project is engineered for the way it will actually be built.
